Matthew D. SpicerSenior Vice President and General Manager
Mr. Spicer serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager and has primary responsibility for the day-to-day management and operations of San Mateo Midstream. He also serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Midstream for Matador Resources Company. Mr. Spicer joined Matador Resources Company in March 2014 as Senior Representative of Business Development and was promoted to Manager of Business Development and then General Manager of Midstream later in 2014. In October 2015, Mr. Spicer was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of Midstream. More recently, in August 2018, Mr. Spicer was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Midstream.
Prior to joining Matador Resources Company, Mr. Spicer served as the Director of Flight Operations for L-3 Unmanned Systems, also serving in various roles including as Program Manager and in Business Development during his tenure with L-3, which began in 2011. Mr. Spicer served in the United States Marine Corps from 1991 to 2014, both in active duty and as a reservist, before his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2014. He also served as a first officer with American Airlines from 2000 to 2003 following his active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Spicer received a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Central Michigan University in 1991.
Brian J. WilleySenior Vice President and General Counsel
Mr. Willey serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of San Mateo Midstream. Mr. Willey also serves as Senior Vice President and Co-General Counsel of Matador Resources Company. Mr. Willey joined Matador Resources Company in February 2014 as its Deputy General Counsel and was promoted to Co-General Counsel in January 2016. In August 2016, Mr. Willey was promoted to Vice President and Co-General Counsel. Two years later in August 2018, Mr. Willey was named Senior Vice President and General Counsel.
Prior to joining Matador Resources Company, Mr. Willey was an attorney with Dean Foods Company where he most recently served as Vice President, Chief Counsel – Corporate. Before Dean Foods, Mr. Willey served as a senior associate in the Dallas office of Baker Botts L.L.P. Mr. Willey received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2002 from Brigham Young University. He received his law degree in 2005 from The University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated with High Honors and was a member of the Order of the Coif in addition to being named a Chancellor and an Associate Editor on the University of Texas Law Review. Mr. Willey also served a church mission in the Philippines from 1995 to 1997.
W. Corey LothamerVice President, Business Development
Mr. Lothamer is the Vice President of Business Development for San Mateo Midstream and has primary responsibility for the commercial activities in and around the San Mateo crude, water, and gas gathering and processing assets. Mr. Lothamer joined Matador Resources Company in 2018.
Prior to joining Matador Resources Company, Mr. Lothamer worked for Southcross Energy, LLC for 8 years having spent the majority of the his tenure serving as the Vice President of Gas Supply, Marketing, and Business Development. Mr. Lothamer began his career in the oil and gas industry in 2006 with Crosstex Energy working multiple engineering and commercial roles within in their gas treating and gas supply divisions. Upon completion of undergraduate work, Mr. Lothamer started working as a project engineer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company and Raytheon Company. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Southern Methodist University.
Michael D. FrenzelVice President and Treasurer
Mr. Frenzel serves as Vice President and Treasurer of San Mateo Midstream. Mr. Frenzel also serves as Vice President and Treasurer of Matador Resources Company. Mr. Frenzel originally worked for Matador Resources Company from 2006 to 2010 as a Senior Financial Analyst before leaving to obtain his M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Mr. Frenzel rejoined Matador Resources Company in 2013 as its Senior Strategy and Financial Analyst and Assistant Treasurer and was promoted to Finance Director and Assistant Treasurer in January 2017. Just over a year later in August 2018, Mr. Frenzel was promoted to Vice President and Treasurer.
Before joining Matador Resources Company in 2013, Mr. Frenzel worked as an Investment Associate for Hamm Capital, LLC and as a Financial Analyst and Assistant to the CEO at Continental Resources. Mr. Frenzel also previously worked as a Business Analyst for Deloitte Consulting LLP. Mr. Frenzel graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 2004, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics, and earned the designation of Fuqua Scholar while receiving a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 2012.
Vinny MahadevanGeneral Manager Operations
Mr. Mahadevan serves as General Manager Operations of San Mateo Midstream. Mr. Mahadevan also serves as Operations Manager – Midstream of Matador Resources Company. Mr. Mahadevan joined Matador Resources Company in 2015 as Facilities Engineer and was promoted to Operations Manager – Midstream in January 2017.
Prior to joining Matador Resources Company, Mr. Mahadevan served as the Planning Advisor for ExxonMobil Qatar International from 2013 to 2015 and was responsible for coordinating the development of LNG production key metrics and modeling for ExxonMobil’s Qatar operations. Mr. Mahadevan also served as a Credit Analyst and an Advisor, Business Planning and Analysis for ExxonMobil Corporation from 2010 to 2013. Mr. Mahadevan served in the United States Army from 2005 to 2010 and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq. Mr. Mahadevan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and International Relations from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2005, a Masters of Petroleum Engineering degree from Texas A&M University in 2016 and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017.
